Mississippi State tailback Anthony Dixon has entered a plea regarding the DUI charges made against him for his July 18th arrest.
But there’s no word yet on exactly what the plea was.
In fact, there’s still quite a bit up in the air right now.
In a statement released by MSU, Dan Mullen said, “We’re thankful this process has come to its conclusion, and I know Anthony is looking to move forward from here.”
But there’s no definition of what the actual “conclusion” is.
The statement continues, “While the consequences for his actions from a legal standpoint have been met, he still has obligations to the Mississippi State football team that we will handle inside the football program.”
From that, we can assume — and you know what that can do to U and ME — that Dixon has entered some form of plea agreement that will likely result in probation, perhaps community service, but no time in the clink.
Mullen has refused to say whether Dixon will be suspended from a game or games this fall.
