Here are today’s headlines from Gainesville:
After two months of blowout victories, is Florida ready for some possible adversity against Florida State this weekend?
I’ve always found this stuff silly, but Urban Meyer and his players don’t even like to say the words “Florida State.” So “the school out west” it is.
This blog features five questions and answers about the Seminoles.
Bobby Bowden is talking up the Gators. “(Meyer’s) got the runners, he’s got the line, he’s got the receivers, he’s got the quarterback, he’s got the speed. Everybody has tried to stop him. Even the game he lost, (Ole Miss) had to score 31 to stop him.”
Running back-turned-fullback Kestahn Moore will never forget the reception he got in his final game at Florida Field last week.
We told you yesterday that Mike and Maurkice Pouncey’s step-father lost his leg in a railcar accident this week. Yesterday he sent the Gator offensive linemen from his hospital in Lakeland back to Gainesville saying, “I want you to get back there and practice. I want you to beat FSU, go on to Atlanta, and then I’m going to be there in Miami with you (for the BCS title game).”
