1. While the world waits for word on Tim Tebow, Florida took a more lasting injury blow on Tuesday. Urban Meyer announced yesterday that second-string offensive lineman Matt Patchan tore his ACL in drills and will be out for the season.
2. Tebow practiced yesterday but there wasn’t any word — and probably won’t be until gameday — on whether or not he’ll play Saturday.
3. Even if Tebow wakes up with just a minor headache on gameday, it’s likely Florida would sit him.
4. But Meyer did say that once he’s cleared, he’s cleared. If the doctors say he’s ready, Meyer won’t sit him just to be cautious.
5. Tebow still leads the Scripps Howard Heisman poll… but for how long?
6. Cornerback Moses Jenkins — a special teams gunner — has already been ruled out of the LSU game for the concussion he suffered against Kentucky.
7. Whoever UF’s quarterback is, LSU’s defense needs to get to him.
