1. Urban Meyer is stressing the fundamentals to help clean up some turnover woes.
2. Pat Dooley of The Gainesville Sun seems to be upset with Tennessee.
3. Here’s a quick preview of Florida’s next opponent: Kentucky.
4. Meyer sounds like he’s glad to be hitting the road. “We went through maybe the greatest amount of nonsense in the history of college football (last week). We’re just going to try and win a game here on the road.”
5. But Kentucky might not be as easy a win as it used to be. (We’ll see.)
6. Might Meyer give Brandon Spikes and Deonte Thompson the weekend off to heal up? “That would be one of the major errors in coaching history to do that. Because we could lose. Absolutely not.”
7. This quick notes package reports that Meyer was happy with kicker Caleb Sturgis.
8. George Diaz of The Orlando Sentinel thinks UF’s coach is making too big a deal out of the flu threat to his team.
9. Tim Tebow says that with a little bit better execution, the Gators would have executed the Volunteers “37 or 40 to 6.”
