Just a couple of notes out of Gainesville today, starting with basketball:
Florida squandered a 19-point second half lead last night and then had to get a clutch three from Nick Calathes to put down Georgia Southern 88-81 at the O’Connell Center.
And in football news:
There are still a lot of rumors swirling about the future of defensive line coach Dan McCarney. ESPN has reported that he will interview for the Army head coaching slot.
And don’t be surprised if receivers coach and recruiting coordinator Billy Gonzales is promoted to the offensive coordinator position once held by Dan Mullen.
