Phil Steele’s pre-season football guide will have Florida ranked #1 when it comes out (Ole Miss will be #6 and Alabama #8). Alert me when someone DOESN’T put Florida at the top of a pre-season poll.
If you saw Tim Tebow on tv during Orlando’s Game 6 win over Cleveland Saturday, there’s no need to alert the NCAA investigators. Tebow’s mother provided her son with the expensive ticket as a gift. So says the Florida athletic department.
In basketball news, Erving Walker — UF’s only scholarship point guard — says he’s been working on his conditioning in preparation for playing more minutes.
Walker will be playing more because Nick Calathes has departed Gainesville after just his sophomore year to play basketball overseas. Billy Donovan believes fans should expect more players to follow Calathes’ path in the future.
