Florida Thanks Kentucky For Help During Tebow Injury

Let’s start with a positive story today.
Urban Meyer and Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley have sent a letter to the editor of The Lexington Herald-Leader praising the University of Kentucky for its aid in handling Tim Tebow’s concussion.
“We wanted to take this opportunity to thank the University of Kentucky Athletics Department for its generous assistance and overwhelming support extended to the Florida football program and in particular, Tim Tebow and his family during our visit to Lexington this past weekend.”
The release goes on to praise UK’s game operations staff, their medical and athletic training staff, police and emergency personnel, athletic director Mitch Barnhart and coach Rich Brooks.
And it concludes with the following:
“A heartfelt thanks to the University of Kentucky, the local community and the entire Wildcat family, whose outpouring of support was very much appreciated.”
It was a class move by the Florida athletic department to praise UK for the class they showed on Saturday. That’s a whole bunch of class when added together.
No doubt SEC commissioner Mike Slive prefers this type of school-to-school communication over the Florida-Tennessee variety that he recently had to snuff out.
