Notes from Gene Chizik’s teleconference:
* “We’ve had some good practices leading up to the Iron Bowl. It’s a very good Alabama football team. It’s gonna be a great challenge for us but we’re looking forward to it.”
* Mark Ingram is a great back. “I don’t think anybody has really stopped Mark all year.” Stopping him will come down to being physical on the defensive line and tackling well.
* Asked the same damn early commitment question that everyone else’s been getting: “It depends on how you look at it. I don’t know whether it’s a good thing or not.”
* Auburn will not have a special guest speaker prior to the Iron Bowl.
* Chizik said he usually has the final words for his team as they leave the lockerroom.
* How big of an impact will the Iron Bowl have on recruiting? “There’s way too many variables out there to say that this game will make all the difference” for every recruit.
