Georgia is going to spend this week preparing for LSU, which apparently likes doing things in two.
The Tigers feature two quarterbacks, Jarret Lee and Andrew Hatch, two tailbacks, Charles Scott and Keiland Williams, and two defensive coordinators, Doug Mallory and Bradley Dale.
Backup defensive tackle Brandon Wood and injured offensive tackle Vince Vance were each jailed for driving offenses following Georgia’s victory over Vanderbilt on Saturday.
Wood was charged with DUI after failing field sobriety tests, while Vance was jailed for having an expired license.
Wide receiver Kris Dunham (ankle) said he will play against LSU, while the availability of linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (knee) and tight end Tripp Chandler (shoulder) is less certain.
In order to make the turnaround for away games more manageable for its players and coaches, Georgia will fly directly into Athens-Ben Epps Airport on the trip back from Baton Rouge, La., on Saturday night, something the team hasn’t done in at least three decades.
A few nuggets from this football notebook:
1) DB Vance Cuff saw significant action against Vanderbilt.
2) Georgia signed its first WR for the Class of 2009.
3) Brandon Wood said he knew he shouldn’t be driving.
