As most expected, Rotnei Clarke has been lighting it up beyond the arc this season. He’s hit 46 percent of his 3-point attempts in the first nine games of his college career. It’s even more amazing if you consider that quite a bit of his attempts have been contested or quick-release shots.

But is Clarke one of the best ever? His coach, John Pelphrey, seems to think so, according to Jeff Goodman of FoxSports.com
Pelphrey has been around some pretty good shooters – Travis Ford while at Kentucky and guys like Teddy Dupay, Matt Bonner and Brett Nelson while an assistant at Florida.
“He’s the best,” Pelphrey said of Arkansas freshman Rotnei Clarke. “He’s better than all of them.”
Pretty high praise from coach Pelphrey, who once called Clarke a Travis Ford on steroids. His teammates were pretty impressed in the pre-season as well, if you’ll recall. Comparisons to J.J. Redick were even thrown around the locker room.
“It’s gotten to the point in Arkansas when Rotnei gets a clean look and he doesn’t make it, everyone is saying, ‘What’s wrong with Rotnei?” Pelphrey added on Goodman’s blog.
Does Clarke break any records while at the UA?
