Here are the top stories from the Bluegrass State:
According to fullback Brannan Southerland, Wildcat fans shouldn’t be counting on Georgia having some post-Florida blues. “Some people might think of us as being down and having a little hangover effect from last week, but I tell you what: we came in Monday ready to work and we’ve been doing nothing but.”
That means defensive end Ventrell Jenkins and the more publicized members of the UK defense will have their work cut out for them on Saturday.
If you’re a numbers-cruncher like Urban Meyer, you might want to peruse this statistical comparison of the Cats and Dawgs. Georgia holds a big advantage on offense. Kentucky holds a slight advantage on defense.
And for Cat fans hungry for a better destination than the Music City Bowl, scouts from the Chick-fil-A Bowl will be joined in Lexington tomorrow by reps from the Outback Bowl. Get it? “Hungry.” (No offense to UK, but I’m guessing they’ll be eyeing Georgia more than the Big Blue.)
