1. Looking back at all UK’s departures, injuries and illnesses, Joker Phillips says, “It’s been an amazing year.”
2. Derrick Locke says he knows how UT’s players will be thinking on Saturday: “Twenty-four years? We’re going to win this game. Kentucky’s always going to find a way to lose.”
3. Rich Brooks has great respect for Monte Kiffin.
4. “Beat Tennessee” signs are popping up around Lexington.
5. Representatives from the Outback and Chick-fil-A bowls will be on hand for this weekend’s game.
6. UK rolled past Cleveland State 73-49 yesterday in the Cancun Classic…
7. But John Calipari wasn’t happy. “…We started the game again getting outmuscled and outhustled, and the team that we played against had more intensity than us. We’re setting ourselves up for failure by doing this.”
8. Calipari did “brag on” Ramon Harris.
9. Stanford is up next for UK and the Cats will have to contain Landry Fields who scored 25 and grabbed 13 boards against Virginia.
