Georgia defensive end Michael Lemon is currently suspended from the Bulldogs’ football team.
Last week he was arrested on charges of felony battery and aggravated battery after allegedly beating up another UGA student at a cookout.
There are now five different witnesses that back-up the student’s version of the story… that he was attacked without provocation.
But there’s more to the story, according to John Kaltefleiter of The Athens Banner-Herald.
Just 17 months ago, Lemon and his now 17 year-old brother Marquez had to deal with the murder of their mother. That left the two of them to fend for each other.
Now, Marquez might be left alone in the world if Michael is sent to prison, which is a very real possibility.
It’s an interesting, albeit sad, story.
