A quick look at the numbers show that Les Miles isn’t getting as much out of his top-ranked recruiting classes as he used to.
The Tigers are just 7-8 in SEC play over the last two seasons. That’s after inheriting a championship-ready program from Nick Saban.
Houston Nutt, by comparison, has led Ole Miss to a 9-6 conference record the last two years… after inheriting a 3-8 disaster from Ed Orgeron.
According to Paul Gattis of The Huntsville Times, “more haunting to Miles is that he has recruited to the level of predecessor Nick Saban, yet Miles is getting relatively little out of it.”
Ouch.
Here’s Mr. Gattis’ always entertaining SEC wrap-up.
