Lunchtime Hoops

It’s going to be rather crowded around Humphrey Coliseum today. Several football recruits are visiting, and of course Mississippi State has a game against this team from Oxford, at noon. Yeah, it’s big. How big? MSU basketball SID Gregg Ellis said he’s issued 66 media credentials, and that doesn’t included the 40 or so for the Raycom folks. Students are braving the cold, camping outside The Hump in hopes of getting a seat.

MSU (14-6, 4-1 SEC) is trying to remain tied with LSU for first place in the Western Division. Ole Miss (11-9, 2-4) hopes to build off Tuesday’s 85-80 upset of No. 24 Kentucky. Here’s a look at the matchup.
