Notes from Mark Richt’s teleconference:
* Asked how different Georgia’s season might be if the celebration call against AJ Green had not been made in the LSU game, Richt said: “If we would have held and won the game there’d be a different feel to it.” “The bottom line is you’ve got to learn to win the close games.” Richt wouldn’t cry about officials.
* He was then asked if that call had led to an emotional letdown the next week against Tennessee. “They really took it to us. … We’re not gonna make any excuse. We just got beat.”
* Richt bragged on LSU’s Chad Jones and Trindon Holliday.
* Richt has not been surprised by the play of Waushaun Ealey. “He’s been running the ball well and he’s been improving rapidly in pass protection and route-running.” “He’s a ball player.”
