Just a few tidbits to start your morning as we put the team reports together:
1. LSU has lost running back Charles Scott for the rest of the season with a broken collarbone.
2. Ivan Maisel of ESPN.com has no problem with the fact that LSU lost on Saturday yet moved up from #9 to #8 in the BCS standings.
3. Chris Low of ESPN.com provides his SEC bowl projections…
4. And his list of what was learned this past weekend.
5. Stewart Mandel of SI.com has posted his weekly “College Football Overtime” column in which he covers Alabama, Florida’s offensive line, Tim Tebow, and Arkansas’ win over South Carolina.
6. The countdown to Florida-Alabama has begun.
7. Pete Flutak of FoxSports.com looks at all the BCS contenders.
8. Bama jumped Texas to regain the #2 slot in the latest BCS standings.
9. Once again a questionable call is being debated in SEC country and Matt Hayes of The Sporting News is the latest nut to call it a conspiracy. (I disagree with Mr. Hayes that replays “clearly” showed Patrick Peterson got two feet in bounds.)
10. And Tony Barnhart of The AJC examines the following four observations from this past weekend:
* The SEC will have a team in the BCS title game
* The SEC can’t get a break on officiating
* Tennessee is getting better
* South Carolina is not
