1. Florida defensive coordinator Charlie Strong appears to be the top candidate at Louisville. There has been no contact between the school and the coach yet. Phillip Fulmer spoke with Louisville AD Tom Jurich by phone on Tuesday, but he’s not high on the Cardinals’ list.
2. Mark Richt went ahead and whacked three defensive assistants yesterday — coordinator Willie Martinez, ends coach Jon Fabris and linebackers coach/co-defensive coordinator John Janceck. For all the UGA fans who felt Richt wouldn’t make a move, when a guy sees his own job threatened, he’ll start throwing folks overboard.
3. ESPN.com’s Chris Low has made his SEC Championship Game prediction. Bama fans will like it.
