Here are the top stories in Starkville this morning:
Quarterback Tyson Lee didn’t throw a touchdown pass against MTSU on Saturday. But he also didn’t turn the ball over. And that makes Sylvester Croom happy. “That’s the biggest thing at quarterback he wants,” said Lee. “He wants high completion percentage and no turnovers.”
True freshman receiver Arceto Clark, redshirt now burned, is expected to become a “home run threat” in State’s offense the rest of the way. May be. But Croom still doesn’t trust him completely with the media. The coach wheeled up in his golf cart yesterday and interrupted Clark, who was holding court with a group of reporters. “One thing: Do not mention any plays that we’re running. You make sure that doesn’t happen. I don’t want to hear anything about any plays we’re running.”
Bulldog center JC Brignone was named the SEC’s Offensive Lineman Of The Week for his performance against Middle Tennessee State last Saturday.
This Saturday, MSU will face a Kentucky team featuring a new starting quarterback. Rich Brooks announced yesterday that true freshman Randall Cobb will take over for Mike Hartline.
