1. Dan Mullen says he’s mimicking Woody Hayes by refusing to say the name of his school’s biggest rival. Sorry, I still think it’s kind of childish.
2. Mullen also said this week’s Egg Bowl is State’s “biggest game of the year. We focus on this game year round. It’s a huge game, and it will always be a huge game.”
3. Center JC Brignone knows that his wife could give birth to his daughter at any time.
4. In basketball news, MSU pulled away in the second half to rout Texas-Pan American 75-50 last night.
5. Rick Stansbury doesn’t believe his team has “a whole lot of rhythm yet consistently offensively.”
6. The Bulldogs will face Richmond Friday in the South Padre Invitational.
