MSU News – 9/4/09

We’ll start with a story I should have posted days ago. Josh Ward and I got our wires crossed as to whether this was already posted on our recruiting page (it was not), so I’ll post it here now:
MSU football commitment Kaleb Eulls is getting national attention after wrestling a semi-automatic handgun away from a girl who was threatening a school bus full of elementary and high school kids. A brave act. A good story. And my apologies for not posting it sooner.
Dan Mullen says he’s been waiting his whole life for the opportunity he’s going to get tomorrow.
When asked at a fan function if he would do the politically correct thing and take his foot off the gas if up by 40 points on a team, Mullen got cheers when he said, “I’ve never considered myself to be a politically-correct person.”
First, I don’t think MSU will be in the up-40 position too many times this year.
Second, I’m glad that everyone cheered poor sportsmanship. Good lesson for the kids.
MSU has sold nearly 41,000 season tickets this year.
