It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Tennessee safety Janzen Jackson has been reinstated to the football team one day after attempted armed robbery charges were dropped against him.
“Janzen will join team activities today,” Lane Kiffin said. The coach said Jackson will also start on Saturday against Kentucky.
Jackson was suspended for various rules violations (including a failed drug test) the week of the Memphis game. Days after coming off that suspension, he was arrested along with a female UT student and two other football players for allegedly trying to rob three other men at gunpoint.
Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found in the car when it was searched at about 1:45am on that Thursday morning prior to Tennessee’s game at Ole Miss.
