Percy Harvin to play in title game

The third Gator to get off the plane in Miami was Percy Harvin, and he was so elusive to the media, no wonder why he’s back in the lineup. He’s ready to be elusive to defensive backs as well.

Florida Coach Urban Meyer said upon arrival that barring anything unexpected, the dynamic junior playmaker is good to go for Thursday’s national championship game.

"Oh, he’s playing," Meyer said. "Unless there’s a setback. He’s good. He should practice tomorrow."

Harvin will endure his first full-length practice since late November leading up to the Florida State game, when he re-injured his right ankle in the first half on a rushing play. Harvin, who was listed as probable earlier in the week, rehabbed with trainers throughout December while his teammates worked out without him.

The Gators have their gameplan solidified, Meyer said, but now it’s time to insert Harvin into it. And Oklahoma officially has to prepare for the receiver/running back.

"We waited on purpose to add that in once he got down here," Meyer said. "We’re pretty much tied in.”

Teammates feel confident that Harvin will ditch the street clothes for pads.

“I think he’ll be ready to go," quarterback Tim Tebow said.
