Spikes: NFL first round hard to pass up

LB Brandon Spikes admitted today that if he is projected as a first-round pick in the 2009 NFL draft — which is a strong possibility at this point — it’d be difficult to stay for his senior season.
But don’t rule out a three-way return to Gainesville with Spikes, Percy Harvin and Tim Tebow. The three have been talking about it often, Spikes said.
"That would be a great thing," Spikes told the Sentinel. "We’ve talked about it with the team a little bit."
When pointed out that the Gators would be a surefire preseason No. 1 in 2009 should the three return, Spikes said "No, USC always gets that."
