Christopher Walsh of The Tuscaloosa News doesn’t believe a Heisman campaign for safety Eric Berry is as far-fetched as it might seem. (Tennessee fans would surely love the irony of having a defensive back win the Heisman… after Charles Woodson won the award over Peyton Manning in 1997.)
The campaign for Berry is up and running and it will be massive (unlike the push for Manning in ‘97). In fact, it will be an electronic billboard of Berry that will go up in South Florida next month. (One billboard is already up in Nashville. The photo comes from The Tennessean.)
Lane Kiffin hopes to transfer some aspects of Nebraska’s old walk-on program to Tennessee.
