When Vanderbilt was getting off to a 5-0 start, the Commodores were forcing turnovers and taking advantage of them. VU was plus-9 in the turnover category. But in their last three games (all losses), Vandy is minus-4 in turnover margin with six interceptions thrown.
“You’ve got to make a play here or there to change the outcome of a game,” Bobby Johnson said. “In five games, we made plays. In three game, we didn’t.”
Safety Reshard Langford believes that’s about to change this weekend against Florida (according to this notes column). “We’re going to go out and create turnovers on defense. That’s going to be the biggest key for us to have a chance to win the game.”
