This practice notes column reports that Larry Smith handled quarterback duties on the first series of yesterday’s scrimmage.
Three freshmen running backs looked pretty good during the Commodores’ practice session.
With few proven receivers, Vanderbilt might start relying more on their tight ends in the passing game.
On the hardwood, Vandy has improved to 2-0 on their Australian exhibition tour.
The $100,000 10-day trip is being paid for by Kevin Stallings. When he was told by administrators that Vandy didn’t have the money for the trip, Stallings opened his checkbook. Nice move.
