1. Former LSU defensive back Tharold Simon to his hometown police department -  ”I own Eunice.” Arrested day before “Tharold Simon Day.”

2. Two former LSU players drafted Thursday - that number could double in tonight’s second and third rounds.

3. ESPN’s Mel Kiper projects eight SEC players to go in the second round. First-round batting average – not so great.

4. Tweet from Auburn safety Demetruce McNeal: ”I’m back!” McNeal missed the final five spring practice over off-field issues.

5. Sunday is the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NBA draft.  Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin expects to speak to Jarnell Stokes and learn his final decision sometime today.

6. Players departing South Carolina – statement from coach Frank Martin: ”After our team’s end of the season meetings, Damien Leonard, Eric Smith, RJ Slawson and Brian Richardson have decided to ask for their release and will not be with the team moving forward,.”

Mizzou Wins At South Carolina, Picks Up Second SEC Road Victory

1. Keion Bell scores 24 points, Jabari Brown adds a career-high 23 as Tigers shoot 69.6% from the field.  Coach Frank Haith: “I don’t know that we could play any better offensively against a really good defensive team.”

2. After taking 24 shots and scoring a career-high 27 points against Kentucky, Phil Pressey doesn’t attempt a shot but has nine assists and five rebounds.

3. Damien Leonard led the Gamecocks with a career-high 20 points.  Coach Frank Martin: “Obviously, we had no answers today. We couldn’t defend them.”
