Four UT Players Make NFL Departures Official

mrsec-breaking-newsFour Tennessee footballers made official today what’s been known for quite some time — they’re leaving school as juniors to enter the NFL draft.  Over the past few weeks, various outlets have reported that quarterback Tyler Bray, wide receivers Justin Hunter and Cordarrelle Patterson would leave the Vol program.  The UT athletic department announced today via press release that those three and defensive lineman Darrinton Sentimore would all be heading to exit doors together.

New Tennessee coach Butch Jones will have to replace a lot of firepower on the offensive side of the ball in his first year.  His first need is to find a new starting quarterback.  Backups Justin Worley and Nathan Peterman — who Jones tried to recruit to Cincinnati — will battle to become the Volunteers’ new trigger man.
