Georgia Signs Lineman Johnson

Defensive tackle Toby Johnson from Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College has signed with Georgia.

Johnson, who attended Banneker High School in College Park, Ga., is Georgia’s 33rd signee in the class of 2013.

“We are thrilled that Toby has decided to become a Georgia Bulldog,” coach Mark Richt said in a statement. “We’re looking forward to watching him compete for playing time this upcoming season.”

Johnson will first need to recover from a torn ACL, an injury he suffered in his right knee in November. Johnson is expected to make a full recovery.
